This animated anthology series introduces original stories to the worlds of cult video games. Video games have made a huge leap onto the screen, and we’re celebrating the genre by taking a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations in film and TV. Clive Standen reprises his voice as Demetrius Titus, the main character in the video game Space Marine 2.
The animation is beautiful, it’s undeniable
It’s mentioned in the Film Junk podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). Although I can hardly get excited about such short episodes. They seem to be a requirement for students.
Reeves and Arnie both play nice roles
It’s impossible to fully engage, because you know it’s over before you can even connect with the characters. It was nice to see some celebrity involvement. It’s just a little too experimental and lacking in depth for me.
The Pacman episode was okay
Also, if I were given the choice of source material. I think I would choose completely different worship games. But it was a demonstration of artistic freedom being taken to the absolute limit.
At least it made me laugh
Overall, I found the whole series a bit disappointing. 6 for visuals. A guide to all the new movies and shows streaming on Prime Video in the US this month.
