Essentially, they manage the land and secure the leases so that they can drill for oil and gas
Typically, a landman’s job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, build workers’ quarters (man camp), supervise the assembly of excavation machinery, and drill the well site itself, especially in remote locations.

They are also, in part, fixers, troubleshooters, and facilitators. I love this show, a good and different story that keeps your attention.
Another tough guy, tough life taken from Sheridan Smith and always a good theme song
Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy is great and I love learning more about how the oil industry works. I’m hooked and some strong characters, Jon Hamm is so great and Demi Moore as his oil baron wife is inspiring as she is beautiful.
I hope we don’t have to wait years for another series
I only have Paramount to watch their stuff and I’m grateful that this show is on its way to being a show to top Yellowstone. Billy Bob’s Tommy is certainly a better actor or on par with John Dutton.
